Season's Greetings

It's been a while.

Nearly Christmas now,

It's a whole different season.

And it's not hard at all.

I look back and I wonder

Still wonder what made me

love you so much.

I still don't remember.

It's been a few months.

Been a few new experiences.

It's a whole different season.

Now it's fall.

I hardly think of you now

But when I do I remember

All the things I'm not missing.

And all the things you are.

It's been a whole new beginning.

A whole new warm sensation.

I'm learning to love again after you

And hurting less because of that.

I don't know why things went the way they did.

Or why we grew apart so fast,

Even as friends.

But this brand new, spirit filled,

romantic dwelling season

brings a friendly glow to me,

As well as a brand new start.

This new season will be better off without you,

and will be greeting me with better things.
